Ingredients
Scale
1 lb Cremini mushrooms, cleaned and halved or quartered
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Place the cleaned and cut mushrooms in a medium bowl.
Drizzle the mushrooms with olive oil and toss to coat evenly.
In a small bowl, mix the garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle this seasoning mix over the oiled mushrooms and toss again until coated.
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 3 minutes.
Place the seasoned mushrooms in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary to maintain crispiness.
Air fry for 8 minutes.
Carefully open the basket, sprinkle half of the grated Parmesan cheese over the mushrooms, and gently shake the basket to redistribute.
Continue to air fry for another 3 to 5 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender inside and crispy outside.
Remove the mushrooms from the air fryer, transfer them to a serving dish, and immediately sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan cheese.
Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving hot.
Notes
For the best crispiness, ensure the mushrooms are dry before oiling them. Pat them with a paper towel if needed.
If you prefer a stronger garlic flavor, use 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder and 1/2 teaspoon of granulated garlic.
If your air fryer runs hot, check the mushrooms at the 10-minute mark to prevent burning the cheese.
