Ingredients
Scale
1.5 lbs Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes, scrubbed and cut into 1-inch cubes
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, finely grated
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Place the cut potato cubes in a large bowl.
Drizzle the olive oil over the potatoes and toss to coat evenly.
In a small bowl, mix the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle this seasoning mix over the oiled potatoes and toss again until all pieces are coated.
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
Place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Overcrowding prevents crisping.
Air fry for 15 minutes.
Shake the basket well. Continue to air fry for another 5 to 10 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy on the outside and tender inside.
Remove the cooked potatoes from the air fryer. Immediately transfer them to a clean bowl.
Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the hot potatoes and toss quickly so the cheese melts slightly and adheres.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For maximum crispiness, ensure the potato cubes are completely dry before tossing them with oil and seasoning.
If you prefer a stronger garlic flavor, substitute 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder with 1 clove of minced fresh garlic mixed with the oil, but add the fresh garlic only during the last 5 minutes of cooking to prevent burning.
If your air fryer basket is large, you may skip the batch cooking, but check for crispiness sooner.
