Make tender, sweet, and savory glazed carrots quickly using your air fryer. This recipe provides simple steps for perfectly caramelized carrots.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound carrots, peeled and sliced into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the sliced carrots in a medium bowl.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, olive oil or melted butter, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the glaze mixture over the carrots and toss until they are evenly coated.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 3 minutes.
  5. Place the coated carrots in the air fryer basket in a single layer if possible; work in batches if necessary for best results.
  6. Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time.
  7. Check for doneness; the carrots should be tender when pierced with a fork and slightly caramelized.
  8. Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Cut carrots into uniform 1-inch pieces to promote even cooking.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; this allows the hot air to circulate and caramelize the glaze properly.
  • If your glaze seems too thin, you can add a tiny bit more cinnamon for texture.
