- 4 ripe pears
- 4 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Wash the pears. Cut each pear in half lengthwise and use a spoon to scoop out the core and seeds.
- Place the pear halves cut-side up in a small baking dish.
- Drizzle 1 tablespoon of honey over the top of each pear half.
- Sprinkle the chopped walnuts evenly over the honeyed pears. Add cinnamon now if you are using it.
- Bake for 25 to 35 minutes, or until the pears are tender when pierced with a fork.
- Serve warm. You can drizzle any extra pan juices over the top before serving.
Notes
- You can use any firm variety of pear, such as Bosc or Anjou.
- If you want a richer flavor, you can add a small pat of butter into the core cavity before baking.
- This dessert pairs well with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or Greek yogurt.
