Make this simple, flavorful Baked Caesar Chicken for a quick and satisfying weeknight dinner. Juicy chicken breasts are coated in a creamy Caesar and Parmesan mixture, baked until golden, capturing all the best Caesar salad flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup creamy Caesar dressing
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra for topping
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (optional, for extra creaminess)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (Panko recommended for crispness)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. If your chicken breasts are very thick, pound them to an even thickness (about 3/4 inch) for consistent cooking. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the Caesar dressing, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, mayonnaise (if using), minced garlic, and Dijon mustard until smooth.
  4. Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Spoon the creamy Caesar mixture evenly over the top of each chicken breast, spreading it to cover completely.
  5. Sprinkle the breadcrumbs evenly over the sauce layer on the chicken. Top with a little extra Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) and the topping is golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Let the juicy baked chicken breasts rest for 5 minutes before serving. Serve this easy weeknight chicken with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • For an extra layer of flavor, you can add 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce to the dressing mixture.
  • If you prefer a lower-fat option, omit the mayonnaise, but the sauce will be slightly less rich.
  • This dish works well as a one pan chicken dinner if you add asparagus or broccoli florets to the baking dish around the chicken during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
