Ingredients
Scale
1 (10 ounce) bag large marshmallows
1 cup candy cane pieces, finely crushed
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1 tablespoon vegetable shortening (optional, for smoother melting)
Christmas-themed sprinkles (optional)
Lollipop sticks
Instructions
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Insert a lollipop stick into the flat end of each marshmallow.
Place the white chocolate chips and shortening (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
Dip each marshmallow into the melted white chocolate, coating it completely. Let excess chocolate drip off.
Immediately roll the coated marshmallow in the crushed candy cane pieces, pressing gently to adhere.
If using, add Christmas-themed sprinkles to the wet chocolate before the candy cane coating sets completely.
Place the decorated marshmallow pops on the prepared baking sheet.
Allow the chocolate to set completely, about 30 minutes, or refrigerate for a quicker set.
Notes
You can use red and white candy canes for a classic look.
Ensure candy canes are crushed very finely for best coverage.
Store the finished pops in an airtight container at room temperature.
