Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup caramel ice cream topping
  • 1 cup chopped apples (about 1 medium apple)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a Bundt pan or a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.
  3. Separate the biscuit dough and cut each biscuit into quarters.
  4. In a medium bowl, toss the biscuit pieces with the cinnamon-sugar mixture until evenly coated.
  5. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until combined.
  6. Pour half of the butter and brown sugar mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  7. Arrange the coated biscuit pieces over the butter mixture in the pan.
  8. Scatter the chopped apples evenly over the biscuit pieces.
  9. Drizzle the caramel ice cream topping over the apples and biscuit pieces.
  10. Pour the remaining butter and brown sugar mixture over everything.
  11. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  12. Let the monkey bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting it onto a serving plate.
  13. Serve warm and enjoy the pull-apart goodness!

Notes

  • You can use any type of apple you prefer, such as Honeycrisp, Gala, or Fuji.
  • For an extra caramel flavor, you can warm up the caramel topping before drizzling.
  • If you don’t have a Bundt pan, a regular cake pan or a cast-iron skillet will also work.
