Ingredients
Scale
1 (16.3 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon milk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Cut each biscuit into four equal pieces.
In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon together.
Roll each small dough piece in the cinnamon sugar mixture until coated.
Arrange the coated dough pieces close together in the prepared baking pan.
Pour the melted butter evenly over the dough pieces in the pan.
Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
While the bites bake, prepare the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, softened cream cheese, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Remove the baked bites from the oven and let them cool in the pan for 5 minutes.
Drizzle the cream cheese glaze over the warm bites before serving.
Notes
For extra gooey bites, you can briefly simmer the baked bites with 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and 2 tablespoons of water for 2 minutes before glazing.
If you do not have cream cheese, you can make a simple powdered sugar glaze using only powdered sugar and milk.
