Make a quick, no-cook sauce that tastes just like the famous spread used on classic fast-food burgers. This recipe is easy to mix and perfect for your homemade burgers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Sweet Pickle Relish
  • 2 tablespoons Yellow Mustard
  • 1 tablespoon White Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sugar

Instructions

  1. Combine the mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, and white vinegar in a medium bowl.
  2. Add the onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and sugar to the mixture.
  3. Whisk all ingredients together until the sauce is smooth and uniform in color.
  4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the sauce for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to blend.
  5. Taste the sauce after chilling and add a small dash more vinegar or sugar if you prefer a different tang or sweetness level.

Notes

  • For a closer color match to some commercial sauces, use a small amount of French dressing instead of plain paprika, or add a drop of red food coloring.
  • This sauce thickens slightly as it chills, improving the texture for spreading on your burger.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
