Ingredients
Scale
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup white chocolate chips (optional, for drizzling)
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup mini marshmallows
Hot milk, for serving
Instructions
Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
Stir in the cocoa powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.
Spoon the mixture into silicone sphere molds, coating the inside evenly.
Chill the molds in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes until the chocolate is firm.
Carefully remove the chocolate shells from the molds.
Fill half of the chocolate shells with mini marshmallows.
Warm the edges of the empty chocolate shells by briefly touching them to a warm pan or using a kitchen torch.
Place an empty shell on top of a filled shell to create a sphere, pressing gently to seal.
If using, melt the white chocolate chips and drizzle over the hot chocolate bombs for decoration.
To serve, place one hot chocolate bomb in a mug and pour hot milk over it. Stir until the chocolate melts and marshmallows are released.
Notes
Ensure your chocolate is tempered for a smooth finish and to prevent melting too quickly.
You can add a pinch of cinnamon or cayenne pepper to the cocoa mixture for a spicy kick.
Get creative with your toppings! Consider adding sprinkles or edible glitter.
