Make a coffee shop style iced latte at home using rich espresso, homemade honey vanilla syrup, and creamy oat milk.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 shots espresso (about 2 oz)
  • 1/4 cup Honey Vanilla Syrup (recipe below)
  • 1 cup Oat Milk, chilled
  • Ice cubes
  • For Honey Vanilla Syrup: 1/4 cup honey
  • For Honey Vanilla Syrup: 1/4 cup water
  • For Honey Vanilla Syrup: 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Honey Vanilla Syrup: Combine honey and water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the honey dissolves completely into the water. Do not boil. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Let cool completely.
  2. Brew the espresso shots into a glass or mug.
  3. Stir the cooled Honey Vanilla Syrup into the warm espresso until fully combined.
  4. Fill a tall glass completely with ice cubes.
  5. Pour the espresso and syrup mixture over the ice.
  6. Top the drink with the chilled oat milk.
  7. Stir gently before drinking to mix the layers.

Notes

  • If you do not have an espresso machine, use 1/2 cup of very strong cold brew concentrate instead of espresso.
  • For a sweeter drink, increase the syrup to 1/3 cup.
  • You can make the syrup ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
