Make a cold, creamy protein shake featuring vanilla and strawberry flavors. This recipe is quick to prepare and suitable for a post-workout recovery drink or a light meal replacement.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon chia seeds

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen strawberries, vanilla protein powder, almond milk, ice cubes, and vanilla extract into a high-speed blender.
  2. Add chia seeds if you are using them.
  3. Secure the lid and blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides if necessary.
  4. If the shake is too thick, add milk one tablespoon at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
  5. Pour the shake into a glass and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a thicker, slush-like texture, increase the amount of ice to 3/4 cup.
  • If your protein powder is unflavored, increase the vanilla extract to 1 teaspoon.
  • You can substitute frozen banana slices for half of the strawberries for added creaminess.
