Make crispy, low-carb taco shell bowls using only cheese. These keto-friendly structures hold your favorite fillings perfectly.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon cream cheese (optional, for flexibility)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix the cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, and cream cheese until combined.
  3. Place 1/4 cup mounds of the cheese mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them several inches apart. Flatten each mound slightly into a round shape.
  4. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the edges are golden brown and bubbly. Watch closely to prevent burning.
  5. Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Work quickly while the cheese is hot and pliable.
  6. Carefully lift each cheese round using a thin spatula. Drape the hot cheese over the outside of small, oven-safe bowls or over the inverted cups of a muffin tin to form a taco bowl shape.
  7. Let the cheese cool completely (about 5 to 10 minutes) until it hardens into the desired shell shape.
  8. Gently remove the hardened cheese bowls from the molds. Repeat with remaining cheese mixture.

Notes

  • Use parchment paper or silicone mats for easy removal; do not place cheese directly on foil or an unlined pan.
  • If the cheese cools before you can shape it, return the rounds to the warm oven for 30 seconds to soften them again.
  • You can use only cheddar or only Parmesan, but mixing them provides a better texture and flavor balance.
