Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender buds
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)
  • 4 cups cold sparkling water or club soda
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices and fresh lavender sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Make the lavender syrup: Combine water, sugar, and dried lavender buds in a small saucepan.
  2. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Do not boil.
  3. Remove from heat and let the lavender steep for 20 minutes.
  4. Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl, discarding the lavender buds. Let the syrup cool completely.
  5. Prepare the strawberry puree: Blend the strawberries until smooth.
  6. In a pitcher, combine the cooled lavender syrup, fresh lemon juice, and strawberry puree. Stir well.
  7. To serve, fill glasses with ice. Pour the lemonade mixture into each glass, filling it about one-third full.
  8. Top the mixture with cold sparkling water. Stir gently.
  9. Garnish each spritzer with a lemon slice and a fresh lavender sprig. Enjoy this refreshing drink!

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of lavender syrup to control the floral intensity.
  • Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for the best flavor.
  • If you prefer a less sweet drink, reduce the amount of sugar in the syrup.
  • This recipe scales easily for larger gatherings.
