Bake a delicious salmon fillet with a sweet and tangy maple Dijon glaze alongside perfectly roasted Brussels sprouts. This simple recipe brings bright flavors to your dinner table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lb salmon fillet
  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, Dijon mustard, olive oil, and garlic powder. This is your glaze.
  3. Toss the halved Brussels sprouts with a drizzle of olive oil, salt, and pepper directly on the prepared baking sheet. Spread them in a single layer.
  4. Place the salmon fillet on the same baking sheet, leaving some space between the sprouts.
  5. Brush about half of the maple Dijon glaze evenly over the top of the salmon.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
  7. Remove the sheet from the oven. Brush the remaining glaze over the salmon.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for another 3-5 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily. The Brussels sprouts should be tender and slightly caramelized.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust the cooking time based on the thickness of your salmon fillet.
  • For crispier sprouts, you can roast them alone for 10 minutes before adding the salmon to the pan.
  • You can use fresh thyme or rosemary sprinkled over the sprouts before roasting for extra flavor.
