Make this easy, creamy pecan pie dip without baking. It captures the gooey flavor of pecan pie filling and features a sweet praline topping, perfect for holiday parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted, plus 1/2 cup for topping
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted (for topping)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Beat the softened cream cheese, brown sugar, granulated sugar, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt in a medium bowl until smooth and creamy.
  2. Fold in the 1/2 cup of chopped pecans into the cream cheese mixture.
  3. Transfer the dip mixture to a serving bowl and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up slightly.
  4. While the dip chills, prepare the praline topping. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the corn syrup, heavy cream, butter, and the remaining 1/4 cup brown sugar.
  5. Stir constantly until the mixture comes to a simmer and the sugar dissolves, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  6. Stir in the remaining 1/2 cup of toasted pecans. Let the topping cool for about 10 minutes until it thickens slightly but is still pourable.
  7. Pour the warm pecan praline topping evenly over the chilled cream cheese dip.
  8. Return the dip to the refrigerator for another 30 minutes to allow the topping to set slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Serve this dip cold with graham crackers, apple slices, vanilla wafers, or pretzels.
  • You can make the cream cheese base one day ahead and store it covered in the refrigerator. Add the topping just before serving.
  • Toast the pecans in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes until fragrant.
