Ingredients
Scale
3 large frozen ripe bananas, sliced
1 scoop vanilla or unflavored protein powder
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1-2 tablespoons milk (optional, for blending)
Instructions
Place the frozen banana slices and protein powder into a high-powered blender or food processor.
Begin blending. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides frequently.
Add the peanut butter. Continue blending until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy, resembling soft-serve ice cream.
If the mixture is too thick, add milk one tablespoon at a time until it blends smoothly.
Serve immediately for a soft ice cream texture, or transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for 30-60 minutes for a firmer texture.
Notes
Using very ripe bananas yields the sweetest results.
The type of protein powder affects the final texture; whey or casein blends work well.
For a different flavor, try swapping peanut butter for almond butter.
