Create adorable Santa Hat Strawberries with a creamy yogurt dip for a festive holiday treat. This easy recipe is perfect for parties and family gatherings, bringing a touch of holiday cheer to your table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced in half lengthwise
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: a pinch of cinnamon for the dip

Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberries: Wash and hull the strawberries. Slice each strawberry in half lengthwise, separating the top green part (the stem) from the bottom red part.
  2. Assemble the Santa hats: For each strawberry half, place a dollop of the yogurt mixture on the cut side. Top with the green strawberry top to resemble a Santa hat.
  3. Make the yogurt dip: In a small bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined. Add a pinch of cinnamon if desired.
  4. Serve: Arrange the Santa Hat Strawberries on a platter. Serve immediately with the yogurt dip on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • Ensure your strawberries are dry before adding the yogurt to prevent the dip from becoming watery.
  • For a sweeter dip, adjust the amount of honey or maple syrup to your preference.
  • You can use whipped cream instead of yogurt for a richer topping, but it will be less healthy.
