Ingredients
Scale
1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
1 ripe banana (frozen works best)
1 scoop vanilla or unflavored protein powder
1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
1/4 cup water (or more, for desired consistency)
Optional: 1 teaspoon chia seeds or flax seeds
Instructions
Place all ingredients into your blender.
Start blending on a low speed, then increase to high.
Blend until the mixture is completely smooth. Stop and scrape down the sides if needed.
Add a splash more water or milk if the smoothie is too thick.
Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.
Notes
For a colder smoothie, use frozen fruit.
Adjust liquid amounts based on how thick you like your smoothie.
Vanilla protein powder complements the fruit flavors well.
This recipe is great for using up fruit that is getting too soft.
